Before you attend!
Before a child can attend the nursery, all families must have a free KidCheck account through www.kidcheck.com/signup. The Nursery Program subscribes to KidCheck to be able to use their electronic check-in system. A phone number is required to create such account, not emails or special codes. This same phone number is required during check-in when being dropped off. If the system goes down, temporary paper forms for any event will be used.
Where is the Nursery located?
St. Ann’s Nursery Program offers a positive, meaningful experience for children while families attend weekend Masses and on-campus events. Located in St. Ann Center, Room 306 (across from the “Choir Side” entrance of the Main Church), the nursery is staffed by fully trained part-time caregivers.
About the Nursery
The nursery at St. Ann’s is more than your conventional place to teach the skills of communication, collaboration, socialization, cooperation, negotiation, conflict resolution, learning empathy, and the onset of independence. It is one of the most important places in our church, as it is a place for evangelization of our youngest generation, where nursery staff uses their gifts in serving the Lord, while entrusted with planting and watering the “seeds of faith” in the young hearts and minds of the next generation.
The nursery is an extension of the church, where children and families are welcomed and valued and are exposed to an abundance of hospitality. We partner with families in setting a foundation for spiritual impact and developmental growth for their children, which in turn develops a long-lasting bond with the church. As parents are experiencing their individual spiritual journey, we are providing the safest place possible for little ones to feel the presence of God and learn about God’s love for them; thus, establishing a faith pattern for the future of the church.
It may seem challenging or overwhelming for some new moms and perhaps even some veteran ones to leave their children in the hands of complete strangers when they first set out on their own faith journey, but they quickly come to learn that their little ones are becoming little prayer warriors in their own right. When little ones go home and expand on prayer and song they learned, or when they offer up a prayer for something they may see as difficult, time and time again, parents come and thank the nursery staff for all the growth they have seen in their children.
