FAQs

Why should I join WWP?

Here are the top ten reasons to join WWP.

What is the structure of a WWP session?

The program incorporates at-home Scripture study, weekly small group discussion, and talks on relevant study material.

A typical WWP session starts with snacks, brief social time, and opens in whole group prayer. Small groups discuss the week’s videos or scripture study homework focusing on personal application questions. Then, small groups share prayer intentions and then close in prayer.

Is it OK if I miss a meeting?

Yes. Sickness, work, and life happen. We all miss a lesson here and there. Just be sure to get back to your group as soon as you can. Not only is consistency important, but also your group will miss you!

What materials will I need?

The study guide (purchased here when you register for WWP Bible study) and a Catholic Bible are all that you need! The recommended Bible translations to use for a WWP study are the New American Bible (NAB) Revised Edition or the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition; or The Great Adventure Catholic Bible, Second Edition by Ascension Press.

Where can I buy the book for the session?

You can purchase the relevant book/study guide here.

Is WWP only for young moms?

Walking With Purpose at St. Ann is a multi-generational community where all women 18+ are a welcomed, cherished part of our small group Bible studies.

Our participants vary in age, life stage, and maturity in the spiritual life.  ALL women are welcome at Walking With Purpose at St. Ann regardless of age, life stage, or experience with the Bible or the Church.

Current participants include single women and married women; brand new moms, seasoned moms, and grandmas; working women, stay at home moms, and retirees; women who have just met Jesus, women who have led Bible studies for years, women who have never read the Bible before, and women who have been St. Ann parishioners for decades.

Do I have to be a St. Ann parishioner to join St. Ann WWP?

No. The program welcomes women of all faith backgrounds, including those who are not members of a specific parish.

Walking With Purpose is a Bible study program designed to help women of all ages and stages of life deepen their relationship with God and connect with other women. It is offered at many Catholic parishes, but the program itself is inclusive and encourages participation from anyone interested in exploring their faith.

I am not Catholic, or I haven’t been to mass in a while. Is WWP right for me?

Absolutely! Start with Opening Your Heart, the WWP foundational course. This Bible study is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart, and we encourage all participants new to WWP to begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study.

I have never opened the Bible. Should I learn more before diving in?

WWP is a Catholic Bible study experience that meets each woman exactly where she is. What sets us apart from other Catholic studies is our focus on the heart, taking the information learned each week and translating it into personal action. No previous Bible study experience is necessary to dive into a WWP study.
